Lower dam of the Harrisonville Lake possibly breaking homes evacuated

There is strong possibility of the lower dam of the Harrisonville Lake breaking. We are urging everyone to avoid the area whether on foot or in a vehicle. 

Homes in the area have been evacuated and emergency services along with other departments from the City are in the process of fixing the problem. 

Until further notice please avoid the area of the city park from Sycamore St. to Shady Ln on Lexington and from Ash St. to Shady Ln on Bradley. 

Roads are closed in this area and you will not be allowed to remain in the area to take photographs or video.
