Obituary - Larry F. Sims

Larry F. Sims, age 72 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Henry County Museum, Clinton, Missouri. Larry was born in Sedalia, Missouri, the son of Raymond Earl and Ila Marie Anderson Sims. He was a Captain for the Kansas City Fire Department for 25 years before he retired. He was a member of Local No. 42, Kansas City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lillian Downs.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna of the home; one son, Chuck Ball of Independence, Missouri; five daughters, Rebecca Jo McCue of Clinton, Missouri, Nikki Mercier of Raymore, Missouri, Robin Riordan of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Shelley Harmon of Raymore, Missouri and Angela Barnes of Smithville, Missouri; one brother, Ray Sims of North Carolina and one sister, Barbara Holman of Raymore, Missouri as well as 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
