The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when 26 year old Jody D. Auxier of Liberal, Missouri was walking near the center of the roadway and was struck by the 2010 Nissan Altima driven by 37 year old Jennifer M. Deines of Nevada, Missouri.
Mr. Auxier sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas for treatment.
The vehicle received minor damages and it was driven from the scene.
