Death Investigation in rural Pleasant Hill

On Aug. 28, 2017 at approximately 0921 hours, a Cass County Sheriff's Deputy was dispatched to the 16000 block of south Scott Road in rural Pleasant Hill, Missouri regarding an alleged deceased subject. 

Prior to the deputy’s arrival, personnel with the Pleasant Hill EMS had determined a female subject was deceased. 

The body of the female subject was then released to the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. 

The sheriff’s office identified the female as 59-year-old Tina K. LaClair. As of Tuesday, the medical examiner had not returned a cause of death.
