On 9/14/17 around 1:50pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies and Peculiar Police Department responded to a one vehicle semi truck rollover accident on Southbound I-49 at mile marker 167.4 in rural Cass County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the International Tractor Trailer driven by 23 year old Gage M. Hyams of Tahlequah, Oklahoma traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a electrical pole and a ditch before rolling over and coming to rest on its passenger side.
Mr. Hyams sustained minor injures in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Research Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The accident caused power to be out on the west side of Peculiar for a decent amount of time this afternoon.
The semi truck was totaled and towed from the scene by Lazer Tow.
