Archie Elementary will be recognizing Red Ribbon Week, which is an annual national drug awareness campaign, from October 24th – 27th. The goals of Red Ribbon Week are to educate children of the dangers of drug use and to create a drug free America. Our theme this year is These Paws Don’t Touch Drugs.

• Monday, October 23rd – NO SCHOOL
• Tuesday, October 24th is Turn Your Back on Drugs – wear clothing backwards or inside out.
• Wednesday, October 25th is Follow Your Dreams: Don’t Do Drugs – wear pajamas.
• Thursday, October 26th is Hats Off to Being Drug Free – wear crazy hats.
• Friday, October 27th is “RED”-Y to Live a Drug-Free Life – wear red.

Students in grades K-8 will also be conducting a fundraiser called Dimes for a K-9, which will begin on October 16th and end on October 27th . The funds raised will be donated to the Archie Police Department to assist with the purchase of a K-9, a drug detection dog. The class that donates the most money will receive a party consisting of milk and cookies provided by Koehn Bakery.
