Aubry Terry came home from the State Fashion Show Revue with 2nd place and Shaylee Terry came home with 5th place in all of Missouri. The girls are super excited to represent County Line 4-H. Aubry and Shaylee are the daughters of Dwight and Sabrina Terry of Hume, MO.
The Hume Fire Department held a Chili Cook Off on Saturday, October 21 at the Legion Hall in Hume. Those winning in the Chili Cook Off were: Karen Irwin, Tracy Reno and Vicki Gwinn. Ronnie Pruitt asked the blessing before the meal began. They held a silent auction with several items listed for those there to bid on. After the meal a pie auction with Larry Hacker as the auctioneer was held. Everyone had a great time with lots of laughter bidding on pies. The fire department appreciated everyone who made chili, baked pies, donated items,those who bought and those who helped in any way. Several are looking forward to holding this event again next year. A big shout out to the Hume Fire Department for holding this event, they are hoping to raise money to make repairs and upgrade equipment.
Bart McClaurghry, Dixie Haler and Karen Irwin were in Kansas City Monday, October 16th for Dixie’s Doctor Appointment. They enjoyed eating at Flaming Lantern on the way home. Dixie is now enjoying being home.
The O5O Club will meet on Monday, November 4 at noon for a carry-in dinner. All are invited to come.
Hume United Methodist Church News: Don’t forget the Annual Lord’s Acre Day BBQ and Auction on Saturday, November 4th starting at 11:00 a.m. for the meal. Then at 1:00 p.m. Larry Hacker, Auctioneer will get the Auction started. This year the Church will be offering their choir chairs and miscellaneous old doors. Plus there will be a German Chocolate Cake, numerous goodies, crafts and miscellaneous items. This is always a great time with lots of good food, fun and fellowship.
