Vernon County teenager killed in ATV crash

On 10/23/17 around 6:00pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle ATV accident just south of Bronaugh on private property.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the Yamaha Big Bear ATV driven by 13 year old Nicklas A. Rider of Bronaugh, Missouri was attempting to go up a steep hill when the ATV overturned landing on him.

Mr. Rider was pronounced dead around 23:30pm hours in a hospital by Vernon County Coroner David Ferry.

This is Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 87th Fatality Accident of 2017.
