News from the Bates County Memorial Hospital

BUTLER, Mo. – To better serve the community, Bates County Memorial Hospital recently upgraded Internet connections in the hospital and Family Care Clinics located in Butler, Adrian and Rich Hill. The installation created some temporary outages.

Marcia Cook, Chief Information Officer, stated this upgrade completed Phase 1 of a multi-phase project to improve internet connections and tele-health capabilities between our hospital, clinics, consulting physicians and telemedicine partners. CenturyLink and IS staff worked many hours to install the new system as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Additional phases will include installation of a new telephone system in early December, and installation of a new electronic medical record program in early January, 2018.

Dr. John Bustle, Chief Executive Officer, commented, “The goal of these upgrades is to continue to provide quality patient care to the community we serve with state-of-the-art technology. We are committed to providing services that allow our patients to stay close to home and family, while receiving quality patient care.
