In the early morning hours of 11-17-2017 officers of the Lamar Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle traveling west on 13th street that had turned off headlights in an attempt to evade the officers.
The vehicle ended up crashing into some stacked corner posts in the parking lot of Orscheln Farm and Home and causing damages to storage sheds at J&H auto sales.
After crashing the vehicle, 2 suspects fled on foot from the vehicle. K-9, Hondo was called to assist in locating the fleeing suspects.
Hondo was able to track one of the suspects and located the suspect laying in water and thick brush. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody. T
he suspect was checked by Emergency personnel and refused medical treatment. The second suspect was not located at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
