HELP STOP POACHERS: Missouri Department of Conservation Agents from Crawford, St. Louis, Jefferson, and Washington counties worked together on an investigation that led to the discovery of several violations of the Wildlife Code, including three counts of fraudulent use of landowner permits and failure to Telecheck deer as prescribed.
The two men who committed the violations were issued citations for taking deer without valid permits and received warnings for the other violations.
The large buck in the photograph -- being shown by Crawford County Conservation Agent Patrice Reese -- was one of three deer illegally taken. Good public cooperation was essential in getting the agents the necessary leads to successfully complete this investigation.
