Obituary - Marion "Louise" Long

Marion "Louise" Long, age 70 years of Clinton, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at St. Lukes East, Lee's Summit, Missouri. Louise was born September 25, 1947 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Charles M. Martin and Marion Lucille (Robinson) Martin.

She was raised up in Ponca City, Oklahoma and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1966.

Louise moved to Clinton, Missouri in 1971 to help her brother open a Daylight Donuts Shop. She worked there for about 5 years. She met her husband William L. Long and was married September 3, 1976. She went from making donuts to helping Bill farm and doing bookkeeping in his garage and welding shop.

Louise loved to bowl, golf and go shopping with her sister and church friends. She was a member of Deepwater First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her dear sister  Donna M. Bread & husband John of Ponca City Oklahoma, brother Charles M. Martin Jr. and wife Susan of Springfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Monday, November 20, 2017 at  Vansant-Mills Funeral Chapel, Clinton, Missouri.  Interment will follow in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Deepwater First Baptist Church and may be left in care of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.  Condolences and fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.
