Obituary - Phoebe F. Rayborn

Phoebe F. Rayborn, 92 of Amsterdam, Missouri passed away November 2, 2017 at Adrian Manor in Adrian, Missouri. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Scott Cemetery near Amsterdam, with Pastor Bill Read officiating. There will be no visitation. Phoebe Flora Rayborn 92 years of age was born February 9, 1925. She passed away November 2, 2017. She was the daughter of Muriel Anita (White) Huebner and James Dewey Sigman. She married Davod E. Rayborn December 10, 1941. They had three children: Linda Lee, Anita Marie and David “Pete” Rayborn.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her four brothers, her husband of almost sixty-one years, a daughter Anita Marie Waton and her grandson, Phillip Waton as well as a nephew.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Lee Barr and husband Barry, her son David “Pete” Rayborn and wife Lorie, an ex daughter-in-law Karen Rayborn.

She was blessed with ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great-grandchildren, two nieces, and one nephew.

She was very active taking care of her children, and helping her husband on the farm. She was always helping grandchildren and loved them all. She belonged to the Baptist Church in Amsterdam. She loved her music. While her husband was alive, they would go to dances. He would play his harmonica while she danced. Later she went with friends until her health gave out. She listened to her music while in the nursing home. She loved when groups would come in and play music and sing. She was always smiling and humming a song, and could also yodel. She also enjoyed interacting with her caregivers.
