One arrested in Nevada

Clarence T. Stevens
During the late evening hours of Thursday November 2, 2017 Nevada Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of W. Austin Boulevard in response to reports of illegal drug activity at that location.

Officers had recently developed information regarding a known male subject at that location that had reportedly been involved in the illegal drug activity and was also a probation absconder, with active warrants for his arrest from Vernon County and the Nevada Municipal Court.

During the search of the residence officers located and seized multiple packages of suspected marijuana which appeared to have been prepared for distribution. The evidence seized from the residence will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for further analysis.

The known male subject, identified as Clarence T. Stevens, age 23 of Nevada was taken into custody for investigation of distribution of a controlled substance (in addition to the active arrest warrants) and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding.

On Friday November 3, 2017 the following charges were filed against Stevens through the Vernon County Associate Court:

Stevens is being held in the Vernon County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
