The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1999 Dodge Ram driven by 26 year old Ryan L. Chanove of Nevada, Missouri drove into the side of the 2002 International Tractor Trailer driven by 64 year old Stephen R. Decker of Clinton, Missouri. The impact of the crash caused the semi truck to travel off the right side of the roadway and jackknife.
A passenger in the Dodge truck 25 year old Masen K. Bruce of Walker, Missouri sustained minor injuries in this accident and she was transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by TCB Towing and Garwoods Wrecker Service.
