Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Mullinax Funeral Home (660-679-0009) in Butler, Missouri.
Visitation will be prior to services from 12 Noon to 1 PM at Mullinax Funeral Home. Private family inurnment will be in the Green Lawn Cemetery in Rich Hill, Missouri.

Charles was born March 5, 1938 in Rich Hill, Missouri, son of Charles Kennedy Sr. and Evelyn Hewitt Kennedy.
Charles was a member of Double Branch Christian Church. He built houses in the 1970s. In 1983 he worked for MoDOT in Jefferson City, Missouri. Charles retired in 2000 and moved back to Bates County. He loved to play Bingo, go fishing, and enjoyed his time with family – especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Evelyn Kennedy; one brother Alfred Larry Kennedy; one infant sister Ester Ann Kennedy; and his loving wife of 58 years Karen Sue Kennedy.
He is survived by three sons: Chuck (Rita) Kennedy of Rich Hill, Missouri; Tom (Julie) Kennedy of Butler, Missouri; Billy Joe (Monica) Kennedy of Butler, Missouri; two daughters: Connie (Willis) VanKirk of Butler, Missouri; and Jeanie (Jerry) Stephens of Adrian, Missouri; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one on-the-way; and eight step-great-grandchildren; one brother Gary (Peggy) Kennedy of Adrian, Missouri; two sisters: Estella Baker of Rich Hill, Missouri; and Ruth (David) Shook of Indiana; one sister-in-law Lois Kennedy of Nevada, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
