Elevated Fire Danger Thursday

National Weather Service Kansas City Missouri has issued a Elevated Fire danger warning for Thursday.

The combination of low humidity, gusty winds and very dry conditions makes for concern when it comes to outside burning.

We are asking that there be ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE BURNING of any kind until we receive a significant measurable amount of rain.

PLEASE no burning of weeds, brush, fields, trash, bbq grills or fire pits etc.

A small fire can quickly get out of control and become catastrophic before the Fire Department can arrive.

Please dispose of smoking material properly millions of dollars of property and equipment is destroyed yearly because of out of control fires.

Many lives are lost yearly because of fire that quickly get out of control during dry conditions.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ALL OUTSIDE BURNING UNTIL WE RECEIVE A SIGNIFICANT MEASURABLE AMOUNT OF RAIN!!
