The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2016 Freightliner driven by 43 year old Robert W. Crust of Adrian, Missouri attempted to make a left turn into a emergency crossover when it was struck in the rear by the 2005 Chevrolet driven by 63 year old Dee A. Schirlls of Harrisonville, Missouri.
Dee A. Schirlls sustained serious injuries in this accident and she was transported by Central Cass to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
Both vehicles were damaged and towed from the scene by Lazer Tow and Johnson's Tow.
