On 01-15-2018 the Barton County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a truck on fire in a field. The truck was located just off of SE 50th LN and south of 126 highway. The Golden City Fire Department and Deputies from the Sheriff's Office responded.
After further investigation the truck was found to be stolen out of Jasper County drove to Barton County and set a fire. The investigation continues in the case.
