Suspects in custody after police chase in Cass County


The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies just concluded a police chase with a stolen vehicle out of Gladstone, Missouri.

The vehicle which was a new maroon in color Dodge Ram 1500 was being pursued after it was reported to be sitting out side of a home in rural Belton. When a Officer tried to make contact with the vehicle it fled from him at a high rate of speed. 

A Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper noticed a vehicle matching the description traveling southbound on I-49.

When he attempted to pull this vehicle over the vehicle refused to stop and speeds in this pursuit stayed consistent at 100 mphs with vehicle taking the Missouri 7 Highway Exit south of Harrisonville.

When the vehicle got onto Missouri 7 Highway it begin to drive erratically in the median and on the shoulder before eventually going the wrong way in both lanes. 

The vehicle struck spikes strips on Missouri 7 Highway near Creighton and was disabled.

Johnson's Tow has been called out to tow the vehicle. Three suspects were taken into custody without incident.
