Jody was born on December 22, 1955 in Grand Island, NE to Kenneth and Delores (Souders) Kehm.
She moved with her family from Sacramento, CA to Clinton in 1967, and graduated from Clinton Senior High School in 1974.
Jody married Ronald L. Cosens on June 21, 1974. The couple had two children, Timothy in 1976, and Jennifer in 1980. For the remainder of her life, she devoted herself to raising her family and enjoying time with her children and grandchildren. Jody also loved to work on a wide variety of crafting projects, especially painting ceramic pottery and cross stitching. She was well-known by many for the plastic canvas holiday baskets she made throughout the years for children in her kids’ and grandkids’ school classrooms.
Jody was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Kenna Moore and Nancy Carter.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron of the home; her son, Tim and his wife Ronda and granddaughter Cameron, Blue Springs; her daughter Jennifer and her husband, Steve, and two grandsons, Jaxon and Sebastian, Clinton; two sisters, Jackie Caldwell and husband Wilbur, Clinton; Kathy Breshears and husband Rick, Clinton; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Jody was a selfless person who had a huge heart and loved to see her grandchildren succeed and reveled in their accomplishments in school and other activities. She loved all holidays, especially Christmas, and she would work to make sure every family member received one of her handmade gifts. The Kansas City Royals were also a favorite of hers, along with Lorenzo Cain, her favorite player. She never missed watching a game, and she loved discussing the games during the baseball season with family and friends.Jody was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Clinton and was active in her church communities wherever she lived over the years.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, February 8th, beginning at 11 am, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church or Twin Lakes Hospice.
