The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2017 Dodge Ram driven by 74 year old Fredrick R. Willener of Harrisonville, Missouri crashed after the driver suffered a medical condition which caused his vehicle to travel off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and concrete edge of a culvert before going airborne and crashing into a creek bed.
Mr. Willener sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Stever's Tow.
