He married Judy Ann Wehmeyer on January 22, 1966 in Blairstown, MO, and she survives of the home.
Daniel was employed with Western Electric from 1965-1967. He then went to work for Kansas City Power & Light where he was employed for thirty-five years, retiring in 2002. He was a veteran of the Missouri Army National Guard.
Daniel was a longtime and faithful member of Lucas United Methodist Church, Urich, MO, where he served as the church treasurer, and was a member of the Lucas Men's Club. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #412, the Urich Lions Club, the American Legion Post 371, Urich, Lucas 4-H Club, Urich Baseball Association, Urich Reunion Committee, the Sherwood Booster Club, and a member of the Sherwood "chain gang", running chains during Sherwood football games.
He was a board member and Past President with the Sherwood School District, the 911 Board, was on the Highway 13 Commission, Henry County Extension Council, Clinton Senior Center Service Board, and was treasurer for the Mullin Cemetery Association. He recently ended a 2nd term as North District Commissioner for Henry County, MO, serving from 2009-2016. In his "spare time" he enjoyed watching grandkids various events, cattle farming, gardening, all sports, getting involved in his community, and most importantly, being with family.
In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by two sons, Douglas Ray Doll and wife Melanie, Kansas City, MO, and Devin Larry Doll and wife Jill, Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Dana Marie Aldridge and husband Scott, Liberty, MO; seven grandchildren, Dillon Doll, Alana Doll, Dayton Doll, Kaylen Aldridge, Jacob Aldridge, Drew Doll and Macy Doll; one brother, Delton Doll and wife Barbara, Independence, MO; three sisters, Donna Powers, Lake Winnebago, MO, Dixie Vogt, Urich, MO, and Deana Borland, Lee's Summit, MO; several nieces, nephews, close friends in the Lucas community and from Kansas City Power & Light, Montrose Station
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Delbert Doll and Dallas Doll.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Lucas United Methodist Church, Urich, MO. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Private family burial will be in the Mullin Cemetery, Urich, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Lucas United Methodist Church or the Mullin Cemetery, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
