Two from Clinton arrested in St. Clair County

On July 4, Alisha Weyant, 35, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Weyant was booked and released pending formal charges.

The charges come after the vehicle Weyant was driving was pulled over for an equipment violation. A K9 unit was called to the scene. 

The K9 did an exterior sniff test of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics. Weyant stated there would be some residue on the soda can that was in the vehicle. There was also a dollar bill located in Weyant’s wallet that had a white crystal like residue on it. The dollar bill field tested positive for methamphetamine's.


On July 4, William Dorman, 50, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Mr. Dorman was booked and released pending formal charges. The charges come after a St. Clair County deputy pulled over the vehicle that Dorman was a passenger in for an equipment violation. 

A K9 unit was called to the scene. The K9 did an exterior sniff test of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics. During the search of the vehicle, a soda can was found with a white crystal like residue on it and a dollar bill was found that had a white crystal like residue on it. The dollar bill field tested positive for methamphetamine's.
