Clinton Man Arrested for Guns and Drugs


On 8-22-2018, at 11:53 PM Clinton police officers responded to 218 South Fourth Street regarding a possible overdose, person non-responsive. 

Upon arrival, items suspected to be methamphetamine were located in plain view of the residence. On 8-23-18, at 0206 hours a search warrant was obtained and a search warrant was executed. 

During the search marijuana, drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, oxycodone, digital scales, an illegal sawed off shotgun with a 16" barrell and a .22 caliber bolt action rifle with a filed serial number was located. 34 year old, Terry G. Sorden Jr. of Clinton was arrested on 24 hour investigation of possession of controlled substance except 35 grams of marijuana; distribution of controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of firearms and possession of paraphernalia. 

The unresponsive subject was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment and is pending charges for possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Sorden was incarcerated in the Henry County Detention Center.
