Most wanted fugitive caught after fleeing from police in Vernon County

A wanted fugitive who had recently been placed on the Vernon County’s Most Wanted list was arrested at a residence on North Lynn Street in Nevada, Mo Thursday evening by Sheriff’s Deputies. 

According to Sheriff Jason Mosher, 22-year-old Gary D W Fenton, was arrested after deputies developed information leading to Fenton’s location. 

Sheriff Mosher said Fenton attempted to flee from the back of the house, but was stopped by a deputy waiting at the back door. Fenton was wanted on a probation violation warrant and is being held in the Vernon County Jail with no bond.
