Thanks to ALL who attended the Republicans lunch meeting today. The minutes of today's reorganization meeting are below.
~ ~ ~The meeting was called to order by Chairman Felix Salazar who led a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Ruby Stotmeister served as temporary secretary for this meeting for the purpose of reorganization.
Salazar offered information about the party in Bates County, explaining that we are unique in many ways including the dedication of our officers. He thanked the current officers for their generous time in moving the party forward. Elected members of the committee were present and introduced as the voting members to elect the officers of Bates County Republicans.
With that, Salazar opened the floor for nominations for the office of Treasurer. Gayle Alexander was nominated for Treasurer. Nominations ceased; discussion was held and votes were cast. Gayle Alexander was re-elected Treasurer.
Nominations were opened for Secretary. Greg Mullinax was nominated as Secretary. Nominations ceased, discussion was held. Greg Mullinax was re-elected Secretary.
Nominations were opened for Vice-Chair. Donna Catron was nominated. Nominations ceased, discussion was held. Donna Catron was re-elected Vice-Chairwoman.
Nominations were opened for Chairperson. Felix Salazar was nominated. Mark Goebel was nominated. Nominations ceased, discussion was held. Mark Goebel was elected Chairman.
Officers spoke and reflected on the past years and thanked previous chairman Salazar for his dedication and efforts for our party.
Newly elected Chairman Goebel spoke about plans for upcoming activities and meeting dates are to be announced.
Chairman Goebel adjourned the meeting with a thanks to all involved.
