The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by 76 year old Harold "Rowdy" Rempfer of Wheatland, Missouri was attempting to make a left turn from Allen Road when he pulled into the path of the 2017 Ford F-250 driven by 26 year old Caleb R. Zimmerman of California, Missouri.
Harold R. Rempfer along with a passenger in his vehicle 73 year old Julia M. Rempfer were both pronounced dead at the scene of this accident and both were transported to Millard-Rekus Family Funeral Chapel.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Woods Towing.

The mayor of Wheatland and his wife were killed in a traffic accident in Miller County Saturday night.
Harold ‘Rowdy’ Rempfer was trying to make a left turn from Allen Road onto U-S- 54. Rempfer pulled into the path of an oncoming pick-up truck.
The driver of the truck hit the driver’s side of the vehicle that Rempfer was driving. Both vehicles were forced off the roadway onto the median.
Rempfer was not wearing his seatbelt. His wife, Julia, was wearing hers.
Both died at the scene.
The highway patrol report does not say if the driver of the pick-up truck was hurt, though his vehicle was moderately damaged by the collision.
