On August 25 Wyatt Swarens celebrated his 10th birthday with a party in the Hume city Park with 15 family and friends attending. They had lots of fun with Wyatt’s birthday celebration.
Descendants of the Joseph Dudley and Clemmie Hess family gathered at the Legion Hall Building in Hume, MO for the annual HESS reunion on September 2. After a word of prayer by the Rev. Paul Buschmann, a delicious carry-in dinner was enjoyed by everyone present. It was agreed there’s a lot of good cooks in the Hess family.
An afternoon of visiting and reminiscing of special memories was enjoyed by all in attendance. We are very fortunate in Hume to have an organization called the County Line 4-H Club. They do various projects around Hume such as raising money which several have benefited from all their efforts. Recently they spruced up the town and the City of Hume was very appreciative of the nice job they did painting the side of the Fire House.
Don’t forget the Hume Food Pantry distribution will be the 3rd Saturday of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
