Charles was born and raised in Dederick and attended Nevada Schools. He worked for Kansas City Power and Light, retiring in 1983 after 35 years with the company. Charles moved to Nevada in 1986 and has resided here since that time. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, survivors include: one son Terry Hargrove of Osceola, MO; three grandchildren, Tami Thomas of Deerfield, Jon Hargrove (Jessica) of Archie, and James Hargrove (Amanda) of Milo; twelve great-grandchildren, Heather Thomas, Taylor Dilly, Colton Thomas, Shane Hargrove, Jonna Hargrove, Alta Hargrove, Pete Hargrove, Leea Hargrove, Alexis Jacobs, Kinlee Ihde, Cameron Hargrove, and Dillon Hargrove; three great-great-grandchildren: Abigail, Teddy, and Isabell. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Gayle Hargrove and ten siblings. A private family service will be held at a later date.
