On 10/23/18 around 5:10pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with Henry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident on Missouri 7 Highway at County Road NE 91 in rural Henry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Kia Spectra driven by 17 year old Hunter U. Thompson of Deepwater, Missouri was stopped to make a left hand turn onto CRNE91 when he was rear ended by a 2002 Nissan Xterra driven by 18 year old Colter S. Hetherington of Warsaw, Missouri.
A passenger in the Kia Spectra 44 year old Sonya B. Mercer of Deepwater, Missouri sustained serious injuries in this accident and she was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Center Point Hospital in Independence, Missouri for treatment.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Gary's Tow and Golden Valley Tow both of Clinton, Missouri.
