To alleviate any confusion...

There's been quite a stir regarding Dr. Long and the future of the Chestnut street clinic in Butler. Mid America Live spoke with Dr. Lindsay Henderson and got the straight scoop

For clarity, the Chestnut Street Clinic is open as usual.

After 55 years of round the clock continuous service to the people of Bates Co, Dr. Long is currently on sabbatical and enjoying his good health, good marriage, cows, and special granddaughter. The Chestnut street location is open and serving as it has been under the direction of  supervisor Gay Nissen, RN, Dr. Henderson and the full team of employees. Current staff includes Dr. Curtis Long, M.D.; Dr. Lindsay Henderson, M.D., Kristin Waugh NP-FNP.

The clinic, founded by Dr. Luter, taken over by Dr. Long, has been a continuous operation for 80+ years and will continue to serve the next generations of Bates County well into the future.

As stated "We will continue to provide family care as well as urgent care and we are looking at every way to improve and evolve with the times to better serve."

Also "The staff recognizes that after 55 years, our patients know a set routine of appointments and this is changing as we work to meet everyone's needs. Please come in 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment as we endeavor to keep your wait brief, your care thorough, and value your time. If you cannot make your appointment, please call our staff to reschedule."

Whether you're an existing patient or new- you can go on line at Butlerdoctor.com or call 660-679-3149 for scheduling. Located just off the Butler square at 200 W. Chestnut St. in Butler.
