And even though I am old I still remember the fun we had decorating for ours many years ago. The girls are always dressed so beautiful and the guys are so handsome, an evening to remember always.
The Annual Spaghetti feed held by the Hume Alliance Ministry was well attended on Sunday. The day was a successful day with over $1,200.00 raised for the food pantry. We could not do this with out all the people who donated and attended the event. We are truly blessed! Distribution day for the food pantry will be Saturday, April 20 from 8:30 a.m. till 11:00 a.m.
Lots of prayers for continued healing for Becky Allison Clift as she is home recovering from hernia surgery. We wish her a speedy recovery and that she will be back to the Carpenter’s Cup. She is a blessing to everyone she meets.
Don’t forget the Annual PTO/Community Easter Egg Hunt at the Hume City Park on Saturday, April 20. Photos will be taken 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., sign up for the hunt will start at 10:30 a.m. and the Easter egg hunt will start at 11:00 a.m.
The Hume Alumni Committee met on Sunday, April 14 at 4:00 p.m. on short notice, so if you weren’t notified we do apologize, there is still tons more to do! Our next meetings will be Sunday, April 28 at the Legion Hall; May 5 at 4:00 p.m. at the City Park; April 19 at 4:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall. Set up for the Alumni will be May 24 with the tables being set up from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and at 6:00 p.m. setting tables, etc. with a meeting to follow at the Hume School. The Hume Alumni will be held on Saturday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. And clean up will be held on Sunday, May 26 at 3:30 p.m. We welcome all alumni to attend meetings, especially the younger ones.

Hume United Methodist Church news: Easter Breakfast prepared by the Methodist Men will be held on Easter Sunday at 8:00 a.m. with Services at 9:00 a.m. There will be no 10:30 a.m. service on Easter Sunday.
Hume Christian Church News: Easter Sunrise Service will be at 6:30 a.m. with Easter Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Sunday school will be at 10:00 a.m. and Worship Services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
On Sunday, April 28 there will be a fundraiser Sloppy Joe Lunch following Worship Service. All proceeds go to purchase VBS Shirts for the kids.
