The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2000 Ford Focus driven by 49 year old Donald R. Cheney of Appleton City, Missouri swerved to miss a deer that was in the roadway and struck a embankment.
Mr. Cheney along with a passenger in his vehicle 57 year old Jeanne M. Cheney of Appleton City both sustained moderate injuries in this accident and both were transported to Ellet Memorial Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle received extensive damages and it was secured roadside to be towed at a later time.
