The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am driven by 39 year old Karen K. Edwards of Nevada, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a large sign.
Karen K. Edwards along with a passenger in her vehicle 71 year old Beverly L. Paulk of Ft. Scott, Kansas both sustained minor injuries in this accident.
Karen K. Edwards was transported by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Beverly L. Paulk was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was towed from the scene of the crash by Phillips Tow of Nevada, Missouri.
