BCMH 2018 Volunteer of the year award presented

Bates County Memorial Hospital was honored to recognize Kathy Bunch as the 2018 Volunteer of the Year. The auxiliary members voted for the volunteer they believed represented their organization as Volunteer of the Year.

Kathy began her volunteer service at the hospital in March, 2008. For 11 years, Kathy has graciously given her time each week to work at the Information Desk and Gift Shop.

Kathy is part of a sewing group that makes and donates lap quilts, head wraps for cancer patients, as well as other projects. Kathy also volunteers to make tray favors for the hospital patients throughout the year.

On behalf of the hospital, Dr. John Bustle, Chief Executive Officer, presented Kathy with a beautiful pendulum mantel clock in honor of this deserved recognition. We thank her for her selfless giving to the hospital and the community we serve.
