Apprentice Lineman Position Opening for the city of Harrisonville

APPRENTICE LINEMAN: The City of Harrisonville, Missouri, an EEO employer with an excellent benefit package, is now accepting applications for the fulltime position of Apprentice Lineman for the Electric Department. Previous experience in the electric distribution industry is preferred but not required. Must be able to climb poles, ascend or descend ladders, regularly lift, carry, push pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. 

Will be subject to on-call and on occasion have to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, and weekends. Work is primarily outdoors and will be exposed to extreme weather conditions. Successful candidate will be required to have a minimum Class B CDL license w/air brakes, must have a high school diploma or GED. Successful candidate will be required to relocate to within 30 minutes drive time to the Electric Department Warehouse. Successful candidate must successfully complete the MPUA 4 year Apprenticeship Program with continual passing grades.
