Bad news: We are only halfway through the heat wave.
Today will bring the highest heat indices of this stretch. Continue to exercise heat safety and check on the elderly, young, and those with breathing issues.
Fortunately, a cold front will push through the area Sunday bringing a chance for thunderstorms ( a few possibly strong) but more importantly an end to the dangerous heat. Hang in there everyone!
