From the desk of Rich Hill Mayor Jason Rich

I am gathering information that in multiple cities, relatively close to Rich Hill, city hall was visited by infected individuals shortly before becoming aware of their condition. This has resulted in the quarantining of city employees there and reducing the city's ability to effectively operate.
To mitigate our city employees' contact to the virus and thus maintain the city's ability to operate at an acceptable level, I am implementing new procedures until further notice. These procedures will be evaluated and may become more or less stringent as we move forward.
I have notified staff to limit business done inside of city hall. All payments must be made either over the phone or through the deposit box. All business requiring citizens to enter city hall is by appointment only. Staff will ask a series of questions before setting an appointment time and be limiting face to face contact. Staff will also keep desk windows closed as much as possible when conducting business.
All non-emergency police reports will be done over the phone as well. City employees will be maintaining a six-foot social distancing policy with no handshakes or other physical contact.
The city apologizes for any inconvenience, but we hope these efforts allow the city to continue to effectively function.
Jason Rich
Mayor
