Michael Lewis Tucker-Coleman was born to Timothy Earl Coleman and Jimmie Michele Tucker on July 30, 1975 in his Grandparents home in Los Angeles, California. Michael's mother said he was always a good child growing up. For the first few years of his life it was joked that he was the family's "community property" since his parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncle all had a hand in raising him. He always loved being surrounded by family.
He loved to learn anything and everything and always excelled in School. Michael graduated from Alhambra High School in 1994. During his high school years he spent a lot of time with his school's wrestling team, practicing martial arts, playing basketball with his friends, or playing video games. While in school, Michael started working with his mother at a store called Kid's Mart. And after graduating Michael worked for a Security Company in Los Angeles for a short time before becoming the manager of LaHacienda Jewelry and Loan in La Hacienda, CA.
While off work, recovering from an injury in 2001, he met his soon-to-be wife, Abby, in an online chat room. He struck up a conversation, and within the first 10minutes, told her he was going to marry her. Their long distance relationship couldn't end quick enough and as soon as he could he relocated to be with her.
After Michael moved from California to Willard, Missouri, the couple were married on March 19, 2005. Michael and Abby had a love that most people only ever dream of. They were more than just husband and wife, they were true Soul mates. During their 19 years together they faced many hard times, but because of their faith in the Lord and their love for each other, they always came out stronger on the other side. Most people that knew them said they had the kind of love to be jealous of and to strive for.
Though raised most of his life in the city, Michael settled right into life in the rural Midwest. He was so laid back, the slower pace of life was a good fit.
To Michael, family was the most important thing. And to him, if you were his friend, you were his family. He was his happiest when he was manning the BBQ Grill on the 4th of July, or when he was dressed up hosting their annual Halloween Party, or when he found any excuse at all to have a house full of family.
In 2010 Michael and Abby adopted their Daughter, Mariah Leigh Krueger. He was an extremely proud Daddy and spent much time attending Choir Concerts, Band Concerts, School Plays, Horse Riding Lessons, and JROTC Awards and Promotions.
In Missouri, Michael worked for Walmart store #86. He started as an Unloader and worked his way up to AutoCare Service Manager. During his time there he made many friends and touched many lives. Everyone's memories of him all involve his Big Smile and Bigger-than-life personality. It's no wonder he was known by most as "Big Mike.
Michael was a lover of music, movies, guns, cars, and Pocket Knives. Thanks to his Grandparents he loved to fish and travel. As a result, he and his wife loved to travel together and had driven coast to coast together making many memories along the way.
In January of 2020 Michael became ill and fought to regain his health until he lost his battle and gained his wings on April 5, 2020 at Cox Hospital South in Springfield, Missouri. The World became a little less bright without his Big ol' smile, but Heaven got a little brighter!
Michael was preceded in death by his Father, Timothy "TC" Coleman. His Paternal Grandmother, Geraldine Bolden. His Maternal Grandparents "PaPa" Gene Coleman and "Mommie" Maggie Coleman. His Uncle Steven Coleman and Aunt Vivian Reels. And his Parents-in-Law David and Verna Haines.
He is Survived by his Wife Abby (Haines) Tucker-Coleman, His Daughter Mariah Leigh Krueger, His Mother Jimmie Michele Coleman (Palmdale, CA.) His Sister Lila Kay Brooks, Brother David Tyler Haines and Wife Leah, Brother Matthew Wilson and Fiance Paula, Brother Christopher Gorum and Wife Michelle, His Aunt Muriel "Cookie" Crowder and Uncle JC (Florissant, CO.) His Aunt Diane Tucker and wife Venetia, (Phoenix, AZ.) His Aunt Barbara Tucker (Rancho Cucamonga, CA.) His Aunt Michelle Schroeder and uncle Gene (Butler, Mo.) Uncle Steve Yost and wife Joy (Harvest, AL.) And Aunt Debbie Booher (Overland Park, KS.) He also leaves behind his Goddaughter Jasmine Gorum and his "Littles," Layla, Matthew, Lily, PeeWee, Finley, and Carmen who will miss their "Uncle Pickle" so very much! Michael had many cousins of which he thought of often and missed very much. He was an only child but said he never felt that way growing up. After moving to Missouri he gained even more cousins to love and make new memories with. With Michael it was always the more the merrier!
