From the Tightwad Fire Department

We hope Everyone made it through the storm last night safely. We have received reports that there has been some Outside Damage around the community of branches and Small trees down... TWFD's repeter tower did come down in the storm last night. We want the community to know we have already started Actively working on this issue. In the mean time We want you to know you are still Covered.

A little Over a year ago we implemented a Program called Active 911 for our Department members. This program alerts us through a APP on our phones when we are toned out. It has proven to be reliable for notifications. We also have a Second program in place through Dispatch where they send Text alerts to our phones at the same time Active 911 is being toned out.

During this time we have taken one more step to ensure our response to the community.

Dispatch has been notified our tower is down, and given a list of Department members phone numbers so that if they do not receive a copy on Active 911 they can begin calling members to ensure someone is en route to scene.

We want our Community to know we are here for you! We have installed back up measures for this particular situation, and are still ready to serve our Community!

Thank you for your time and Stay Safe,

Tightwad Fire Chief
