It was discovered during the investigation, the incident involving a 7-year old had been captured on video and the suspect may have also recorded the incident on his cell phone. It was reported the suspect was a family friend.
At approximately 9:30pm on June 14th, 2020, Harrisonville Police Officers located and took the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect, identified as Randall L. Griffin, 19-year-old of Harrisonville has been charged with 1 count of Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy.
A bond of $100,000 cash only has been set. A search warrant was executed on Randall’s apartment, where several electronic devices were recovered and will be processed.
This investigation is ongoing and additional facts may be presented to the Cass County Prosecutors Office regarding this case, which may lead to additional charges.
