One arrested after domestic dispute in rural Adrian

On June 14, 2020 Deputies responded to a residence in rural Adrian regarding a domestic dispute. When they arrived on scene a Deputy spoke with nurse who was on the phone.

The nurse advised that while she had been speaking with the victim on the phone the victim's husband had been making threats about killing the victim and her adult grandson.

The victim told the Deputies a few days before her and her husband had been fighting. During an argument over dinner her husband went to the bedroom and retrieved a firearm and held it up to his chest. He then threatened to kill her and another family member. She stated that the physical and verbal abuse had gone on for years and was only progressing. The victim confided in the Deputies that she was in fear for her life.

Deputies seized the firearm as evidence and placed her husband under arrest. He was transported to the Bates County Jail and was placed on a 24 hour investigative hold.

On June 15, 2020 David Clark was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. His bond was set at $50,000.00 cash only. He is currently being held in the Bates County Jail.
