From the desk of Bates County Sheriff Chad Anderson:

I wanted to just say Thank You to Representatives Patricia A. Pike and Jack Bondon for stopping by and meeting with me today.

It is refreshing that our State Representatives are reaching out to Law Enforcement to get feed back on things that affect our communities when it comes to changes to our criminal code.

We had a great conversation about justice reform measures, mental health issues in our community, law enforcement equipment needs, and the affects of constant media and community barrage of false narratives on law enforcement’s morale and the effects on recruitment.

I’ve been Sheriff for almost 12 years now and have had very few Representatives and not one Senator walk through my door to ask what our needs are and to ask how they can help my office.

I think it’s important for our community to know that we are working together for a brighter future for our community.
