Community resource coordinator Rachelle Mallatt has been working with the Bowers family, after a single mom of 6 kids lost everything in a house fire on Friday July 17th just outside of Butler,Mo.
Rachelle says, “This amazing community has pulled together and donated items and money and today I was blessed to be able to give this family some hope. Thank you so much to each and every person who helped me be able to bless this family!!
We have definitely given them a good start but they still have a long way to go! Please continue to donate to the love fund at Community 1st Bank or bring donations to my office, 13 W Dakota St. Mon-Fri 9-5. A complete list of needed household items will be posted next week!”

Either way we are working on getting them out of the motel hopefully this weekend, there were not any kitchenettes avail according to prospect rentals, so they are stuck at the hotel til we get them a rental, they are paid up for 2 weeks at the hotel, well 12 days now. - Rachelle Bates County Community Resource Coordinator
