Some statistics I found that are very troubling to me this morning:
23.5 million Americans have at least 1 addiction (drug or alcohol related) yet only 10% are receiving active treatment!!
Deaths due to drug overdoses have tripled in the last 5 years.
Roughly 20% of Americans with depression also struggle with substance abuse.
While the Covid crisis is driving these numbers up, we are adding efforts to do our part in our community to flatten the curve, so to speak, of drug abuse right here in Bates County.
The new Bates County Community resource coordinator Rachelle Mallatt is passionate and dedicated to do what it takes to help you or your loved one get the kind of help and support they need to build a recovery foundation that will give life long success!!
Stop by 13 W Dakota st in Butler, call 660-679-3232 ask for Rachelle, or email rmallatt@batescountysheriff.com to see what services or resources are available for you!!
Let’s end the stigma of addiction and show people loud and proud that we do recover!!
