Raymore-Peculiar School District employee tests positive for COVID-19

A Raymore-Peculiar School District employee has tested positive for COVID-19. This case involves an employee who is working at Eagle Glen and the High School for Summer School.

The Cass County Health Department conducted contact tracing and determined that there were no students or other staff members who were exposed.

Summer School classes will continue as usual through July 30.
The health and safety of our students and employees is a top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to implement safety measures during the pandemic.
All families are urged to continue the practice of healthy behaviors, which include, but are not limited to:
• Wash hands frequently with soap and water.
• Cover nose and mouth with a sleeve or a tissue when coughing or sneezing;
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth to prevent the spread of germs;
• Clean and disinfect frequently-touched surfaces and objects
• Stay home from school and work when you are sick.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

In addition to the hygiene practices listed above, face coverings and physical distancing are important safety measures implemented in Raymore-Peculiar schools.

(You may have received this notice via email from the District. In the email, the final sentence about face coverings and distancing was incomplete and included question mark. That was a typographical error.)
