Norman was raised in New York. Norman served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Korea during the Vietnam era as a communications specialist. Following his years in the service he worked for a time at Bell Aircraft in Niagara Falls, NY. In 1975 Norman came to Missouri to be near family. He worked at the Nevada State Hospital for 25 years until his retirement in 1999. Norman was a member of the VFW and the Am. Legion.
Survivors include great-nieces and nephews, Vernon Howrey (Rhonda), Nevada, James Howrey (Cheri), Kansas City, MO; Ashley Gardner (Anthony), Nevada, Timothy Peacock, Nevada, Annabell Gardner, (Brayden), Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and one nephew, Thomas Peacock.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Moore Cemetery in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30th at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
