Student at Raymore-Peculiar High School tests positive for COVID-19



A student at Raymore-Peculiar High School has tested positive for COVID-19. This case involves a student who had been participating in football summer conditioning workouts.

The Cass County Health Department is conducting contact tracing and is notifying individuals who were potentially exposed.

No organized athletic practices or workouts are taking place this week as the District is observing the no-contact week established by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA).


The health and safety of our students and employees is a top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to implement safety measures during the pandemic.

All families are urged to continue the practice of healthy behaviors, which include, but are not limited to:
• Wash hands frequently with soap and water.
• Cover nose and mouth with a sleeve or a tissue when coughing or sneezing;
• Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth to prevent the spread of germs;
• Clean and disinfect frequently-touched surfaces and objects
• Stay home from school and work when you are sick.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Wearing face coverings and implementing physical distancing.
