A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Ascend Hospice.
Joyce was born on March 20, 1940 in Cass County, Missouri, a daughter of David Monroe and Rosa (Malicoat) Knox. She resided in Adrian for 64 years. She was an EMT, she ran Stevens Hardware for 40+ years, and also worked at Adrian Manor for many years as a CNA. She loved cooking family dinners and mowing her yard.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Dave & Rosa Knox; six brothers: Maurice, Cecil, Ralph, Harvey, Bill, and Larry; and one sister, Marjorie. She is survived by her son, Mark Stevens and his wife, Julie, of Adrian, MO; two grandchildren: Jason Stevens and his wife, Amy; and Hollie Ullius and her husband, Kurt of Harrisonville; 4 great-grandchildren: Tayler, Trinity, Max, and Miles; two sisters: Phyllis Hughes of Harrisonville and Mary Miller of Adrian; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
